Public Call to Local Self-government Units (LGs) and Cantons for submission of applications for participation in the “Sustainable Tourism for Green Growth Along the Via Dinarica Trails in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Via Dinarica III)” Project is one of the activities within the third phase of the Via Dinarica Project, implemented and co-financed by the United Nations Development Programme in Bosnia and Herzegovina (UNDP BiH), with the financial support of the Agency for Development Cooperation of the Republic of Italy (AICS). The third project phase is implemented in cooperation with local partners – Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, FBiH Ministry of Environment and Tourism, and RS Ministry of Trade and Tourism.
The Via Dinarica initiative aims to promote significant natural and cultural resources of the West Balkans, to offer adventure and recreational activities to nature lovers from around the globe, as well as to preserve mountains, cultures, and areas as the oasis of intact nature in Europe.
A specific goal of this public call is to contribute to the development of green, nature-based infrastructure and enhancement of infrastructure along the Via Dinarica trails and sites (innovative and progressive solutions to green infrastructure, construction or reconstruction of access paths, mountain and cycling trails and tourist attractions, summer camps, access to water and supporting facilities on rivers and lakes for water sports, enhancement of infrastructure around cultural and historical sites, rest areas and viewpoints for tourists, etc.).
All interested LGs and cantons in BiH that meet the basic (eliminatory) criteria of this call are invited to submit applications (including all supporting documentation) for participation in this activity of the Via Dinarica III Project no later than 31 August 2024. Applications can only be submitted electronically to the address: poziv.viadinarica@undp.onmicrosoft.com .
All additional questions related to this Call can be submitted exclusively via e-mail, 7 days before the deadline for application submission, via the above-stated e-mail address.
Immediately upon publication of the Call, Via Dinarica III Project will organise info sessions during which all aspects of the Public Call will be presented, and its conditions and criteria explained. Apart from this, potential applicants will have an opportunity during the sessions, to pose questions related to the Public Call.
Timeframe and locations of the info sessions will be announced on the UNDP’s web page www.ba.undp.org and the Project web page viadinarica.com.
Info sessions for potential applicants will be held in accordance with the following schedule:
- Banja Luka, 21 August 2024, from 11:00 to 13:00 hrs, Hotel Vidović (Ivana Franje Jukića 11, Banja Luka 78000).
- Mostar, 23 August 2024, from 11:00 to 13:00, Hotel Mepas, Princess Hall (Kneza Višeslava, Mostar 88000).
All aspects of the Public call, its conditions and critera will be presened and explained during the info sessions, while potential applicants will have an opportunity to pose questions related to the Public Call.
