Youth Forum: The Future of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
December 7, 2023
On 8 December, at 1:00 pm, the Sheraton Grand Tbilisi Metechi Palace Hotel (20 Telavi Street, Tbilisi) will host a dynamic gathering of young minds from across Georgia.
The European Union, Norway, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) invite you to join a conversation on the future of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Aligned with the upcoming Human Rights Day 2023, the Youth Forum aims to celebrate global strides in building a world rooted in the principles of justice, dignity, and equality. The engaging discussions will shed light on human rights challenges faced worldwide and explore innovative solutions through the unique perspectives of the new generation.
The event will feature prominent public speakers, government officials, and young participants from Georgia's Shida Kartli, Kvemo Kartli, Samtskhe-Javakheti and Kakheti regions. Their collective insights will contribute to a comprehensive dialogue that seeks to shape the human rights narrative for the future.
The Youth Forum is part of the "Act for Rights Now!" campaign, commemorating 75 years since the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the United Nations General Assembly on December 10, 1948.
The venue is accessible to persons with disabilities, and interpretation services in English, Georgian, and sign language will be provided.
