BOOST KOSOVO ANNOUNCES WINNERS OF GREEN CHALLENGE II TO BOLSTER KOSOVO’S PRIVATE SECTOR

Following a journey of capacity building, collaboration and continuous solution refinement for a cohort of 30 participants, a final selection of twelve businesses was announced on Friday, as winners of the second edition of BOOST acceleration programme: Kosovo Green Challenge: NextGen.
All twelve micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), selected after a thorough screening process and pitch event, have showcased how their proposed solutions could address some of their challenges through digitalization, while demonstrating great potential of a scale up impact in the future. Outstanding solutions covering a range of sectors, including agriculture, production, tourism, fashion, and tech industry, among others, showed as most promising towards automating some of their work and improving business operations and services through digital technologies. These solutions, propelled with the support of local and international coaches, are now to be funded with up to EUR 100,000, made possible by UNDP Kosovo in partnership with Raiffeisen Bank Kosovo, and Innovation Centre Kosovo.
The following MSMEs are the grantees of the second edition of BOOST x Kosovo: Balkan Natural Adventure, BioTech Agriculture, Bio365Kosova, Electric Mobility LLC, House of Motif, Hoyo Tech Shpk, ITEG, Lazdrohu Shpk, MTC Corporation LLC, PNC LLC, Punë N'Dorë, and Simply Green.
UNDP and partners would like to congratulate all other participants for successfully completing the BOOST x Kosovo acceleration programme.
BOOST x Kosovo programme 2nd edition was launched in mid-October 2023 to provide opportunities for MSMEs and to promote greener growth in the private sector in Kosovo. A total of 30 businesses from across Kosovo were selected to participate.
BOOST is an acceleration programme, powered by UNDP Europe and Central Asia, boosting social impact innovation, and accelerating the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. BOOST x Kosovo is the local chapter of the programme, launched by UNDP Kosovo and implemented in partnership with Raiffeisen Bank Kosovo and the Innovation Centre Kosovo (ICK). Its second edition aims to support green recovery in the private sector by fostering an enabling environment with a people-centered approach.
