Corruption Risk Assessment in the Education Sector in Kosovo
Corruption Risk Assessment in the Education Sector in Kosovo
November 11, 2015
For the past years, UNDP has been focusing on a targeted sectoral approach in its anti-corruption interventions. Such approach enables the development and implementation of sector-specific anti-corruption plans that address the leakages and mismanagement of allocated resources to promote institutional integrity in sectors. Within the framework of this corporate strategy, UNDP Kosovo’s project Support to Anti-Corruption Efforts in Kosovo (SAEK) in close collaboration with UNESCO International institute for Education Planning and the Kosovo Anti-Corruption Agency, have developed a Corruption Risk Assessment in the Education Sector to understand how corruption manifests itself in the education system. Moreover, this assessment reveals where corruption risks exist in the education sector in order to devise strategies to address the underlying governance and anti-corruption bottlenecks.
