Support the development of a National anti-corruption strategy NAZAHA

 

 

Project Overview

This project is a joint cooperation between UNDP and the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development (GSSCPD) in partnership with the Kuwait Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha), and in collaboration with United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) as well as the UNDP regional office on Anti-Corruption. The project aims to to support Nazaha in fulfilling its mandate to establish principles of transparency and integrity according to the United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC), and in the development of a national anti-corruption strategy, as well as Nazaha’s own internal strategy.

To this end, the project extends its support to strengthening the institutional capacities of Nazaha. Our scope is to strengthen the institutional capacities of Nazaha to further enable its reach and effectiveness, focuses on Nazaha’s internal strategy, and on structuring an organisation that can deliver the national strategy and develop the future of anticorruption in Kuwait.

Project Highlights

The project continues to work on the development of a national anti-corruption strategy that serves the creation of a prosperous Kuwaiti society, characterised by transparency, good governance, and integrity and the development of Nazaha’s internal strategy and governance framework, policies and procedures.
