Three smart and portable health diagnostic devices were donated to Moldova by S-Case, a Slovak startup that developed the solution with the support of Slovak Challenge Fund, implemented by UNDP. The donation was coordinated by UNDP, in the partnership with the Ministry of Health.  

The equipment will be used by Refugee & Accommodation Centres in Cahul and Ungheni, so as the Centre for Rehabilitation of Victims of Domestic Violence in Gagauzia region, providing shelter to people fleeing the war in Ukraine. All these institutions are supported by UNDP and its partners.

The portable Scase devices combine smart sensors with a digital patients database and allows health workers to provide people with fast diagnostics of their health. They allow for all-in-one measurement of vital signs: pulse-oximeter, blood pressure monitor, non-contact thermometer, and glucometer.

The Scase solution has been developed for people and health providers in countries that have limited capacity to provide integrated and person-centred care.
