With a national objective to halve both absolute poverty and poverty in all its dimensions by 2030, Moldova is committed to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 1 – No Poverty. This report introduces the National Multidimensional Poverty Index to Moldova for the first time. It builds on the national Household Budget Survey, conducted monthly throughout the year and the Alkire-Foster method. The document also presents a comprehensive analysis of the various ways in which poverty impacts the Moldovan population across four key dimensions: health, education, living standards, and employment, detailed through 11 specific indicators.
