The Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism (MEFT) is implementing the NILALEG Project which is a six-year project with funding from the Global Environmental Facility (GEF) through the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
On 01 June 2021, the UNDP and MEFT delegation visited Otjovanatjie Village, the team had the opportunity to interact with Slate harvesters who are potential NBE domain in the Ruacana Landscape. The harvesters demonstrated how slates are harvested.
