Summary
UNDP supports Inclusive and Sustainable Growth of Timor-Leste: promoting green/blue and circular economic development, sustainable management of natural resources, and innovative public-private cooperation to reduce climate risks and strengthen resilience; and gender-responsive, inclusive, and human-rights-driven governance.
In collaboration with the Government of Timor-Leste, national institutions, civil society, and private sectors, UNDP strives to accelerate progress on four major development areas under Inclusive and Sustainable Growth:

Inclusive and Sustainable Growth consolidates the cooperation flamework in which UNDP Timor-Leste prioritizes creating economic opportunities and decent work for all, enhancing resilience to climate change and sustainable management of resources, and moving forwards accessible, accountable and gender-responsive governance systems, institutions, and services at the national and municipal levels.
UNDP’s initiatives together with the Government of Timor-Leste aim to strengthen and diversify livelihoods to reduce vulnerability to poverty, promote jobs in the green/blue and circular economies, and increase the resilience of communities to cope with climate, health, and economic shocks. While, securing accessible, accountable, and gender-responsive governance systems, institutions, and services is also necessary to tackle the challenges of SDGs as a whole society.
Our endeavors towards Inclusive and Sustainable Growth will be also promoted by improving twenty-first-century skills, competencies, networks, and digital capacities among young men and women which improve their employability while protecting small and micro-enterprises.
