🌱 Calling all Youth Green Innovators in the Arab States! 🌍💡 

Are you passionate about creating a sustainable green future? Do you have a groundbreaking community level initiative that aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and accelerates the green transition in our region? 🌿🚀 

Introducing the "Young Green Innovators Challenge in the Arab States"! 🌟 On the occasion of International Youth Day, we are excited to invite you to showcase your green initiatives and be part of a movement that's reshaping our region for the better. 

🏆 Your innovation could range from renewable energy solutions to waste reduction projects, eco-friendly tech to community-driven initiatives – if it promotes a greener, more sustainable Arab world, we want to hear from you!

📅 Challenge timeline: submissions will be accepted from 14 to 31 August 2023. 

Submission Steps: 

1. Complete the submission form: https://forms.office.com/e/pGRQk1rCQw   
2. In the abstract that you are required to complete in the submission form, tell us the following: 

• How has your green initiative contributed to creating a more sustainable world, and what lessons can other youth learn from your experience?  
• What innovative approaches or strategies have you employed in your green initiative to address local environmental challenges, and how have they yielded positive results?  
• How have you used green skills in your initiative?  
• How could young people develop these skills?  
• What is the role of young people in green transition and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals?  
• How can green skills contribute to climate change solutions and accelerate the achievement of the SDGs?  
• How many people have you reached/plan to reach through your initiative in your country/city/area?

Important note: the material can be videos, art, written stories, a slide deck, or any multimedia that tells us your story. When uploading your material, please use your first and last name as the title of the file that you are uploading. 

Eligibility Criteria: 

1. Age: Participants must be between the ages of 18 to 30 years old. 
2. Location: Participants must be from the Arab States. Initiatives must be either implemented or under implementation in the Arab states. 
3. Format: submissions can be done through videos, written stories, slide deck, and art.  
4. Impact: Participants should emphasize the anticipated positive impact of their initiatives on local communities, the environment, and the broader sustainable development agenda. 
5. Languages: Submissions should be presented in English or Arabic or French. 
6. Legal Rights: By submitting an entry, participants grant UNDP the right to showcase and share their projects for promotional and informational purposes. 
7. Selection Process: Entries will be evaluated based on criteria such as clarity, alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, social innovation, and impact. 
8. Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the top-ranking submissions, including training opportunities, and visibility through social media and high-level regional events.
