DISCLOSURE: Call to Submit Comments on Prepared Plans for the Construction of Medical Warehouses

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Zambia under the Resilient and Sustainable Systems for Health (RSSH) Project plans to construct two regional Medical Warehouses in Luanshya and Kapompo districts for the Zambia Medicine and Medical Supply Agency (ZAMMSA). The project aims to expand storage facilities of medical supplies in these areas in the quest of supporting the Government of Zambia in promoting Universal Health Care Coverage.
In line with its Social and Environmental Safeguards Policy, UNDP Zambia has developed an Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP), and a Stakeholder Engagement Plan (SEP). The plans have been developed to ensure environmental sustainability of the project. In view of this, UNDP Zambia is inviting stakeholders to submit comments on the Prepared Plans for consideration before the start of proposed construction works.
Submission of Comments: All interested organisations and individuals must submit their comments to UNDP Zambia on belinda.zimba@undp.org no later than November 6, 2023.
