This report presents the second official National Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) for Sierra Leone and computes changes over time between 2017 and 2019, following the first Sierra Leone MPI Report produced in 2019. The report was produced in collaboration with Statistics Sierra Leone, with technical guidance and support from UNDP and the Oxford Poverty Human Development Initiative (OPHI). Midway into the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and commencing the preparation of Sierra Leone’s new Medium-Term National Development Plan (MTNDP), 2024-2028, the need for data to assess progress towards meeting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) cannot be over emphasized.
