Development of the Fifth National Communication and the First Biennial Transparency Report of Georgia to the UNFCCC

Overview

The  United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Global Environment Facility (GEF) assist the Government of Georgia in preparing the country's First Biennial Transparency Report and the Fifth National Communication to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), in accordance with the country’s commitments as a non-Annex 1 Party of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.

Georgia’s First Biennial Transparency Report and its Fifth National Communication will be built on the findings and recommendations of the previous national communications and biennial update reports, as well as on the outcomes of the latest international consultation and analysis (ICA) process for the second biennial update report and other ongoing complementary projects in the country.

Georgia’s Fifth National Communication and First Biennial Transparency Report will be submitted to the UNFCCC Secretariat by 31 December 2024.
