Mitrovicë/a Region Baseline Assessment aims to assess the environment of the private sector in this region to understand where it fails to generate enough jobs to accommodate the labour force, as well as to identify the main barriers that it faces to expansion and exports. The research involved 600 face-to face interviews with SME owners and 200 face-to-face interviews with farmers in the region. In order to gain a better understanding of the differences in growth hindrances of the private sector, the analysis is disaggregated between Mitrovicë/a North and Mitrovicë/a South (henceforth referred to as MN and MS) sub-regions.
