MEWA Graduation of Water Deputyship Employees

The UNDP is honourd to contribute to and participate in the ceremony honoring the Masters and Diploma graduates for Water Deputyship on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. The ceremony included 15 Master’s graduates and 4 Diploma graduates. This training was implemented and facilitated as part of the long-standing strategic partnership between MEWA and UNDP, under which capacity development and sustainability are at the center of the collaboration. It was a proud moment for the graduates, MEWA, and UNDP, as it highlighted the importance of education and training in sustainable water management in KSA. UNDP Resident Representative, Ms. Nahid Hussein commended the unique experience of KSA integrated water resources management as one of the best practices started to harness and attract international attention and interest. The Ceremony included inspiring speeches from prominent figures starting with a speech by the Deputy Minister, UNDP Resident Representative, graduates and ending with H.E. the Vice Minister who expressed his appreciation to UNDP efforts and partnership. It is expected that the Graduates will substantively contribute their knowledge to enrich and advance the application of IWRM in the kingdom As the graduates embark on their professional journeys, the UNDP remains committed to supporting MEWA in their efforts to promote sustainable water management practices.
