Confronting the HIV, TB and Malaria burden in South Sudan

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in South Sudan serves as the Principal Recipient for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria on behalf of the Government of South Sudan.

Working in partnership with the Ministry of Health, UNDP has been managing the Global Fund’s HIV, TB, and Health Systems Strengthening grants and as well as the COVID-19 Response Mechanism (C19RM) launched in April 2020. 

The Global Fund project is designed to reduce the HIV and TB infections and mortalities and contribute to building resilient and sustainable systems for health. This compilation highlights some of our accomplishments as of June 2021.
