Waad Hmida holds a BSc degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Tripoli. Over the last decade, she has acquired varied experience primarily in youth and women empowerment activities, as well as in the humanitarian sector. With nearly five years of expertise as a project management expert in INGOs, she was previously employed by Handicap International and the Danish Refugee Council in Libya as a project manager and a sector manager respectively. Waad, who recently joined UNDP's Accelerator Lab, is dedicated to exploring and implementing creative ideas and innovative solutions to tackle development challenges in Libya.​
