Course for veterans on mechanized demining, 2–18 December 2024

The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme in Ukraine (UNDP), has organized a free course for veterans with disabilities in the field of mechanized demining for mine action.
From 10 to 12 veterans with disabilities will have the opportunity to enrol in the training course. The course will last just under three weeks (from 2-18 December) and will cover the following topics:
- The five fundamental principles of mine action;
- Land clearance in humanitarian demining;
- National mine action standards;
- Mechanized demining machines: types and operating principles.
Training Structure
- First Week: Theoretical classes in Kyiv.
- Second Week: Field training in Chernihiv Oblast.
- Third Week: Final stage in Kyiv, with a final test and certificate award ceremony.
