Dreams Unfold in Chorshanbe: Empowering Dreams through IT

Once upon a time in the small town of Chorshanbe, nestled in the south of Uzbekistan, near Shahrisabz, a pair of young visionary individuals named Saidmakhmud and Jakhongir were determined to spark a technological revolution. United by a common passion for spreading IT knowledge and digital skills, they embarked on a journey to transform the lives of young minds in their community.

With a shared dream of contributing to the technological advancement of Uzbekistan, Saidmakhmud and Jakhongir were selected to run an IT center established by the Ministry of Economy and Finance with the support from UNDP and it is expected to serve as a hub for learning, innovation, and empowerment. Little did they know that their initiative would not only transform their own lives but also become a beacon of hope for the youth in Chorshanbe.

Among the bright students drawn to the IT center was Marjona, an 18-year-old with a fiery passion for computer engineering and artificial intelligence. Eager to pursue her dreams and make a difference, Marjona enrolled in the center, where she found a community of like-minded individuals striving for excellence.

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), recognizing the potential of the IT center to drive positive change, extended its support to Saidmakhmud and Jakhongir's vision. With the backing of UNDP, the center flourished, welcoming a diverse cohort of 120+ students eager to acquire the digital skills that would shape their futures.

As the first cohort of students delved into the world of programming, software development, and graphic design, a sense of excitement filled the air. Saidmakhmud and Jakhongir, fueled by their commitment to empower the youth of Chorshanbe, worked tirelessly to ensure the students had access to the latest technology, mentors, and a supportive learning environment. Realizing that most of the world knowledge needed for a successful IT specialist is stored in English, they developed a course of English for IT which is very popular among the students.

Marjona, inspired by the knowledge and guidance she receives at the IT center, envisions a future where Uzbekistan would rank among the most technologically advanced countries globally. Marjona's dreams echoed those of her mentors, Saidmakhmud and Jakhongir, who saw the potential for Chorshanbe to become a hub of innovation and progress.

The official opening ceremony of the center took place almost on the Eve of the New Year. Students like Marjona, harbored aspirations that reached beyond the confines of Chorshanbe. The UNDP-supported initiative had not only created a space for learning but had sown the seeds of ambition, hope, and progress in the hearts of these young minds.

Wishing Saidmakhmud, Jakhongir, Marjona, and all the other students of the IT center the very best as they set forth on a journey to elevate Chorshanbe and contribute to the technological landscape of Uzbekistan. We hope digital skills that are spread and gained at this center will bring them success, fulfillment, and the realization of their dreams.
