The AFSIT Monitor is a quarterly report produced by the AFSIT Secretariat. It provides succinct analysis of ongoing transition contexts, with relevant insights for AFSIT entry points. Intended as an information-sharing platform, the AFSIT Monitor also captures progress being made in the implementation of the facility, including specific AFSIT activities and upcoming events. This issue looks at recent regional dynamics, including the high number of general elections coming up across Africa this year, and the impact these polls could have on the transition processes — and vice-versa. This edition also presents the outcomes of the AFSIT Assessment Mission deployed to Mali in November 2023.
