The UNDP Chemicals and Waste Hub is a network of partners that work to support the implementation of international conventions related to the chemicals and waste management to reduce pollutions in value chains and drive the transition to sustainable production and consumption towards circular economy. 

Initiatives on chemicals and waste area supported by UNDP in 120 countries help protect human health, biodiversity, ozone layer and climate by phasing out hundreds of hazardous chemicals such as highly toxic pesticides, polychlorinated biphenyls, mercury, ozone depleting substances, refrigerants with high global warning potentials in the industrial process and in products. 

We support countries and municipalities improving their waste management system and reducing plastic pollution. We work with partners to ensure access cooling by all and improve energy efficiency.
