Whereas access to justice is a fundamental element for the consolidation of democracy, it is necessary that institutions are equipped with the requisite tools and materials to carry out their duties effectively. In view of this fact, UNDP Guinea-Bissau delivered 30 motorcycles to the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, to be used in the regional and sectorial courts across the country. This initiative is part of a comprehensive strategy aimed at strengthening the quality of justice services delivery in Guinea-Bissau, which includes among others, the training of new magistrates, justice officials, and lawyers, the rehabilitation of courts in Canchung.
