UN Assistant Secretary-General, UNDP Assistant Administrator and UNDP Regional Director Kanni Wignaraja Concludes Official Mission to the Maldives

Highlights the successful conclusion of UN ASG and Ms. Kanni Wignaraja's official mission to the Maldives. During her three-day visit, the UN Assistant Secretary-General and UNDP Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific engaged in high-level discussions with government officials, development partners, and civil society. Key initiatives included the launch of the Agriboat, the Maldives RREEF Project to protect reef ecosystems, and the introduction of the Maldives' first ESG framework for sustainable development. The mission underscored UNDP's ongoing commitment to supporting the Maldives' development goals and fostering key partnerships for sustainable growth.
