UNDP Serbia is soliciting applications from citizens of Serbia with successful international careers, with emphasis on diaspora, in order to create a roster of specialists who are motivated and willing to transfer their expertise and knowledge to help Serbia adopt international best practices.
Experts who meet the given criteria and successfully pass a rigorous recruitment process will get on the roster of available experts who will be engaged by the institutions of the Republic of Serbia, based on their expertise.
Qualified experts that are selected will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of Serbia through their work in Serbia, over a period determined in agreement with the national partner – a state body of the Republic of Serbia, in line with the needs and opportunities that arise in the following 2-3 years.
UNDP supports the Government of Serbia in the implementation of the national development program, which includes a series of reforms necessary for accelerated economic growth and social development, as well as the process of joining the European Union. This ambitious program includes digitalization and investments in infrastructure, both at the national and local levels. In addition, significant investments are needed in environmental protection, especially in the treatment of waste and wastewater, as well as water supply, and support to local communities to become more resilient to man-made crises and natural disasters.
UNDP Serbia seeks experts, technical advisers in the following areas:
Energy efficiency in the construction sector; Renewable energy sources; Chemicals and hazardous waste; Waste and wastewater management; Assessment of vulnerability and adaptation to climate change; Inventory of greenhouse gas emissions and mitigation of climate change; Environmental Protection; Advisor for the concept of sustainable cities; Green/smart urban development; Advisor for the implementation of projects financed by international financial institutions; Management of complex construction projects; Hydrology; Hydraulics; Banking and finance in the public or private sector; Economic development; Public finances; Promotion of science; Accelerated development of start-up companies; E-government; Information security; Artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Only applicants with Serbian citizenship or valid work permit in Serbia will be considered for the vacancy.
