Advancing Digital Inclusion in a Dynamic World

Overview

Digital technologies are essential for the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), directly benefiting 70% of the SDG targets. The landscape of digital inclusion is characterised by constant evolution and adaptation to emerging technological trends and political, economic, as well as societal dynamics. This includes new opportunities enabled by digital, but also new harms and threats, and the interplay between online and offline factors.

Given the dynamic landscape, we launched the Digital Inclusion Playbook 1.0 in May 2024, followed by a Global Consultation from June to September 2024 to leverage collective wisdom. We are delighted to present the Digital Inclusion Playbook 2.0, which offers wider case evidence, more comprehensive strategies, and a flagship Strategic Action Framework that enables countries and communities to launch their own holistic, multi-stakeholder digital inclusion campaigns tailored to local contexts. We hope this resource inspires collaboration to shape a more inclusive digital future, leaving no one behind!
