Trainer Pranav Prashad, Senior Technical Officer at the ILO Impact Insurance Facility, skilfully leading Module III of the UNDP, ILO, and ACISP International Trainer Certification Program in Inclusive Insurance.
UNDP's Insurance and Risk Facility, in collaboration with the ILO Impact Insurance Facility and the Africa College Insurance and Social Protection (ACISP), recently reached a significant milestone in the world of inclusive insurance by conducting the 3rd Level of International Certification in Inclusive Insurance Program. This 5-day program seamlessly combined two essential components: "Training of Trainers" and "Training to the Industry," with a central focus on "Ensuring a positive customer experience through customer-centric marketing, education, servicing, and claims management."
The pivotal 'Training of Trainers' session, held from October 2nd to 3rd, laid the foundation for subsequent training of Insurance Industry Practitioners. Guided by Master Trainer Pranav Prashad from the International Labor Organization (ILO), this training delved into crucial aspects of customer-centric marketing, education, servicing, and claims management, with a strong emphasis on inclusive insurance practices.
The program's success was greatly influenced by the involvement of twelve carefully selected national trainers. Their expertise and dedication played a pivotal role in shaping subsequent training sessions for Insurance Industry Practitioners. The program included 10 UNDP scholarship recipients and 10 students sponsored by their respective insurance companies and distribution channels, including banks, actively participating in this hands-on, practical training program, enriching the learning experience significantly.

A highlight of the program was the opportunity provided on the final day for both students and trainers to engage in one-on-one consultations with insurance providers, distribution channels, and insurance policy recipients. This unique platform provided profound insights into the intricacies of the insurance industry's operations, clarified existing challenges, and generated actionable recommendations for enhancing insurance products, streamlining claims procedures, and ultimately elevating the overall customer experience.
The program's success underscores the critical role of partnerships and dedicated training initiatives in advancing inclusive insurance practices. UNDP's Insurance and Risk Finance Facility, in collaboration with the ILO Impact Insurance Facility and ACISP, continues to be a driving force for positive change in the insurance sector by equipping professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to provide customer-centric solutions.
