The finding of the 2023 National Financial Survey and Report (formally referred to as Digitalization of Payments and Inclusion (DP&I) Survey) undertaken by TTIFC will be critical to the development of a National Financial Inclusion Strategy (NFIS), which is among its numerous goals, will provide a blueprint of suitable approaches to the present issues and impediments identified in the survey. 

Financial inclusion is a catalyst for economic growth, resilience, and job creation. The findings of TTIFC's National Financial Inclusion Survey indicate that the financial inclusion in Trinidad and Tobago presents a complex and evolving picture, highlighting varying trends in account ownership across demographics, a persistent preference for cash transactions, and the challenges faced by micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
