UNDP in Ukraine Partnership with the Government of Japan
UNDP in Ukraine Partnership with the Government of Japan
February 16, 2024
The Government of Japan is a vital partner in UNDP’s mission to work with countries to expand people’s choices for a fairer, sustainable future, building the world envisioned by the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development – with planet and people in balance. The Government of Japan is UNDP Ukraine’s largest government contributor, having provided a total of U.S. $169.4 million in support since 2022. In the wake of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Government of Japan and UNDP boosted their partnership to support Ukraine, making efforts both to respond to the immediate needs of its citizens, and to plan for a full, inclusive, and green recovery that enhances human security.
