Organized by UNDP Trinidad & Tobago in collaboration with The Ministry of Sport and Community Development, the “We Ting” Caravan aims to boost social cohesion, empower youth, and promote gender equality across the country. The caravan series will visit seven locations, ending with a grand finale in Port of Spain in December 2024.

What’s Happening:

Community Engagement:
The Caravan will bring one-day events to seven communities, each filled with competitions, discussions, and cultural performances.

👥 Intergenerational Teams:
Contests pair youth (15-29) with seniors (50-75), encouraging collaboration and shared learning across generations.

🎨 Diverse Activities:
Join in for gaming tournaments, cooking, fashion, sports, talent showcases, and art exhibitions—something for everyone!

🗣️ “Have Yuh Say” Tent:
Step into this safe space to share views on governance, gender roles, and social unity. Choose from discussion topics or bring your own, with support from facilitators and mental health professionals as needed.

📚 Capacity Building:
Workshops and consultations will build community skills and encourage stronger social bonds, focusing on youth and women’s empowerment.

🤝 Inclusivity & Gender Equality:
The Caravan welcomes all voices, ensuring that underrepresented groups are heard and valued.

🏆 Collaborative Partnerships:
In partnership with local leaders and national stakeholders, the Caravan promotes sustainable community development and lasting social change.
