TRANSDOC:
Management of correspondence,
documents, and archives
PROJECT OWNER: SIGOB - América Latina y El Caribe
In a public institution, correspondence is like its blood. Through correspondence, information travels related to citizen requests, services, inter-institutional communications, petitions, official invitations, requests for concepts, and endless government transactions that enable the institution's action. The formality of the state lands in its correspondence and official files; it is also where the principles of adherence to the rule of law, equal treatment, effectiveness, transparency, and accountability become a reality.
Transparency and Document Management (TRANSDOC) is a system to modernize the management of documents, correspondence, and official files in public institutions, promoting efficiency and transparency in communication with individuals, companies, and other institutions. Implementing TRANSDOC includes mapping the work processes associated with official communications, bringing them to a digital platform with traceability, electronic signatures, and document security mechanisms, and achieving "zero paper" policies that greatly reduce costs and the environmental impact of public administration.
The UNDP-SIGOB regional project offers the digital platform and the implementation service to ensure the sustainability of the platform and the new work processes.
